The Sivananda Kutir Ashram in Netala was where i had my first tryst with Yoga and the Vedic teachings of the ancient Indian masters. I felt a little silly enrolling with a Teachers Training Course to learn Yoga but it was the the only course i could find that covered not only the physical aspects of Yoga but also delved into the teachings of Vedanta and Bhagavad Gita.

I've always been a non believer when it came to religion and mysticism. I went in to the one month course as a sceptic and came out, not transformed into a believer but with a better understanding and appreciation of the philosophies.

My original intention was to summarize my one month experience at the ashram into one single blog post but knowing my penchant for rambling, i've decided to break it down into multiple smaller stories and collect them all into this journal. Keep watching this space for regular updates.
